Summer is now in full swing here in the US. It is such an exciting time full of blossoming new life. Like summer, eduKenya is also in a season of growth. Plans and dreams that were sewn into hearts, months and years ago, are now coming to fruition in this season. If you’re wondering why we’ve been under the radar, this is why!In the past few months, eduKenya has added five new staff members, two in the US and three in Kenya. In order to continue to provide high-quality, transformational, educational opportunities for children and their families in Mathare, new roles and team members have become essential. We believe that our newest additions will impactfully serve our mission and vision. Each new team member is passionate about the work eduKenya is doing, and anticipates playing a key role on the team. Over the coming months be on the lookout for blogs featuring our new hires!Now onto what’s more obviously new, our website! It is so exciting getting to share this website with everyone. With photos of joyful students and encouraging stories of transformation, the website very accurately reflects eduKenya. Hope is one of the first words you see when you visit the homepage. It’s a word we wholeheartedly believe in and a word that is at the core of who we are. We have a hope that every decision made at eduKenya will educate a child, empower the poor and transform a community. Our hope is that creating a new website and adding new staff will encourage others to join the movement of transformation in Mathare.We hope that you enjoy the new website.
