An important thing for any child is to learn to speak effectively and confidently. Through the Journalism Club at our primary school we see our students grow to be better communicators. Each week on Monday or Friday, the students have an opportunity to share various news they have collected and created during the school assembly. Not only do our students grow in their communication skills, but because the Journalism Club consists of students from different grade levels, a byproduct of this weekly assembly presentation is a growth in confidence for our younger learners.
At eduKenya our students are transformed by God's love through mentorship and opportunity. We don’t simply want to tell the students what to do all of the time, but give them the opportunity to practice what they learn in an encouraging environment. This opportunity for our students from the Journalism Club to present at the assembly reflects our Empowered Transformation Milestone. It is an opportunity to develop confidence, communicate effectively, cultivate knowledge and persistence in research, and grow in their ability to boldly be a voice of Gospel truth in a chaotic and broken world.
