Last week our students had the privilege of receiving oral hygiene kits and demonstrations in proper oral healthcare from Dr. Regina Mutave and other guests from Rotary International who are involved in the Kenya Smiles Children’s Oral Health Project. Kenya Smiles is a project of the Rotary Clubs of District 5160 in North Central California and the Rotary Club of Karen-Nairobi to improve the oral health of Kenyan children.
After listening to an instructional talk on how to take care of their teeth, students received oral hygiene kits that included a toothbrush, toothpaste, metal cup and information on best oral care practices. We are very grateful to the Kenya Smiles Children's Oral Health Project for their commitment to improving the oral health of our students. Oral healthcare is a challenge for many of our students due to poor dental care practices and lack of opportunity to regularly visit the dentist. Thank you for bringing big smiles to our students, whose smiles will be much healthier as a result![caption id="attachment_682" align="aligncenter" width="389"]
