Kwa Watoto Nursery Class

The Kwa Watoto Nursery Class has 25 students, ages 4-5 years. Two academic goals for this class are to improve their ability to write numbers and the correct pronunciation of words. These little ones love reading library books, especially when the stories have illustrations! The students also use Kindles, downloaded with age-appropriate stories, to learn reading. The children unanimously love using the Kindles. XO laptop computers were donated to Kwa Watoto School last year and are now an exciting addition to the curriculum. Students get their first introduction to these computers in Nursery Class. In addition to education, the children receive two nutritious meals each day, enrichment activities, and Christian nurture. Each child received a medical exam on February 3.Miss Musyoka teaches the Nursery Class and has taught at Kwa Watoto School for 5 years. She says, “I have a passion for children and I like teaching numbers. I emphasize the co-curricular activities because it helps the learners to nurture their talents.”Meet Dennis
