The first week of each month, the eduKenya leadership team devotes a day to prayer. Would you please join us in lifting up our students, staff and the community of Mathare in prayer? Here are some specific ways to pray:1. Pray for our students and teachers as they resume school this week after a short break. Pray for renewed energy and excitement to learn.2. Pray for our oldest class of students who are several months into their studies at our partner boarding school, the Millennium School. Pray for their ongoing adjustment to living away from home in a new environment. Pray for focus and joy in their studies.3. Pray for the protection of our students when away from school, as they live in highly unsafe areas and are often unaccompanied by adults. Pray that they receive enough to eat on the weekends.4. Pray for our teaching staff, that they feel encouraged and equipped in their mission to educate the next generation of Kenyan leaders.5. Pray for the health of our students and staff, especially for one staff member who was admitted to the hospital last week. Pray for continued good health for our students living with HIV and other chronic illnesses.6. Pray for the ongoing preparations for constructing our new school building. Pray for wisdom and favor with the authorities.7. Thank God for a strong start to the school year, our new Baby Class students, last month's medical check up and encouraging visits from partners!Thank you for praying with and for us! The foundation of our work is prayer, as we depend on God for all things!
