Bishop Isaiah Kamau teaches 6th grade CRE class[/caption]eduKenya believes the global church is the primary agent for bringing love, peace and reconciliation to a broken world. We partner with churches to facilitate the transformation of impoverished individuals and communities in Nairobi. In fact, eduKenya has its roots in an early partnership with Bishop Isaiah Kamau and Believers Centre Mathare Church. In those early days, Believers Centre ran a daycare program to educate and feed children in their church and was the inspiration for eduKenya.Bishop Isaiah, or “Bisho”, as he is fondly referred to, is passionate about educating primary school-aged children in the Mathare slum and he continues to be involved with eduKenya. During the week of June 10, Bishop Isaiah spent 3 days sharing spiritual insights with the 6th grade Christian Religious Education (CRE) class. In CRE, students usually study a person, virtue or historical perspective found in the Bible. Bishop Isaiah focused on how these individual stories and virtues build upon each other to reveal the perfect, life-saving, transformational truth of God.At the end of the study, 6th grade student, Victoria, embraced the Truth as her own as she committed her life to Christ. We thank God for Victoria in whom the seed of God’s word and presence has been planted. Join us in praying that other students at Kwa Watoto will also identify with and find eternal life in Christ.[caption id="attachment_1850" align="alignleft" width="150"]
Bishop Isaiah[/caption]eduKenya thanks Pastor Isaiah for being a vessel of God’s truth as he shared with the 6th grade class at Kwa Watoto School. “Bisho” leaves us with these words: “May the living and able God continue to provide for our partnership, and most importantly, the children we serve. To God be the glory!”
